PRE-PASSAGE SUMMARY OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 5126 ORDINANCE NO. 5139 Pursuant to California Government Code section 25124(b)(1), the Board of Supervisors for the County of El Dorado will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of Urgency Ordinance 5139. This Urgency Ordinance amends Urgency Ordinance 5126, extending the term to be effective until rescinded by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors or December 31, 2021, whichever occurs first. Urgency Ordinance 5126 adopted amendments to the County's Zoning Ordinance to temporarily ease restrictions on outdoor dining and outdoor retails areas and implement a County of El Dorado Temporary Outdoor Dining and Retail Sales Program. This Urgency Ordinance extends the Temporary Outdoor Dining and Retail Sales Program adopted in Ordinance 5126, but does not make changes to it. In an effort to lessen the adverse economic impacts as a result of COVID-19, the County is recommending this extension of the Zoning Ordinance amendments to allow County businesses to continue to operate in a safe manner while preserving the health and safety of County residents. If adopted, the Urgency Ordinance will take effect immediately pursuant to Government Code sections 25123(d) and 25131. Consideration and adoption of this ordinance will be heard by the Board of Supervisors on March 23, 2021 at 2:30 PM, in the Board Meeting Room, 330 Fair Lane, Placerville, California, or virtually via Zoom. A full and complete copy of the full text of the proposed Urgency Ordinance is available for viewing in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 330 Fair Lane, Placerville, California. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption hereof. Publication: March 12, 2021 Ad #0000667518
