BEFORE THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF NEVADA Joint Application of Nevada Power Company ) d/b/a NV Energy and Sierra Pacific Power ) Company d/b/a NV Energy for acceptance of ) Docket No. 19-08034 their Joint Energy Supply Plan Update for 2020-2021. ) __________________________________________ ) NOTICE OF ELECTRIC UTILITIES' JOINT ENERGY SUPPLY PLAN UPDATE AND NOTICE OF PREHEARING CONFERENCE On August 30, 2019, Nevada Power Company d/b/a NV Energy and Sierra Pacific Power Company d/b/a NV Energy (together, "NV Energy"), filed with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada ("Commission") a Joint Application, designated as Docket No. 19-08034 for approval of their Joint 2019 Energy Supply Plan Update (the "ESP Update"). NV Energy's last Triennial Integrated Resource Plan ("IRP") and ESP were filed in June 2018, and addressed the Action Plan period of 2019 to 2021 in Docket No. 18-06003. NV Energy seeks approval and acceptance of its ESP Update for the second and third year of the Action Plan period addressed in NV Energy's Triennial IRP and ESP. NV Energy filed the Joint Application pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statutes ("NRS") and the Nevada Administrative Code ("NAC") Chapters 703 and 704, including, but not limited to, NRS 704.741, and NAC 704.9005 through 704.9525. Pursuant to NAC 703.5274, NV Energy requests confidential treatment of information submitted under seal with the Joint Application. Interested and affected persons may file petitions for leave to intervene pursuant to NAC 703.578 through 703.600 at either of the Commission's offices on or before WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2019. A person who wishes to participate as a commenter may file written comments pursuant to NAC 703.491. A commenter is not a party of record and shall not take any action that only a party of record may take. Pursuant to NAC 703.500, only parties of record are entitled to enter an appearance, introduce relevant evidence, examine and cross-examine witnesses, make arguments, make and argue motions and generally participate in the proceeding.
