PROPERTY NOTICE OF SEIZURE AND NOTICE OF INTENDED FORFEITURE Property was seized pursuant to California Health and Safety (H&S) Code section 11469, et. seq. in the following cases and the District Attorney of El Dorado County has instituted proceedings to forfeit this property: 19-06-003005. On or about May 24, 2019, $4,375.00 US Currency was seized from US 50 at Sierra at Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, CA in connection with a violation of H&S Code section 11351. 17-10-005598. On or about 8/24/2017, $16,872.00 US Currency was seized at 2112 Lake Tahoe Blvd. South Lake Tahoe, CA in connection with a violation of H&S Code section 11378. 017-0233771. On or about January 7, 2020 $7,751.28 US Currency was seized at 618 Glorene Avenue, South Lake Tahoe, CA in connection with a violation of H&S Code section 11351. If your claim is properly filed, the District Attorney will decide whether to file a Petition for Forfeiture with the Superior Court to contest your claim. In the case where a Petition is filed and a contested hearing is held you will have the following rights which include but are not limited to: you have the right to use the subpoena powers of the court and order witnesses to attend, you have a right to testify on your own behalf, submit evidence showing the legitimacy of the seized assets, and a right to cross examine the petitioner's witnesses. This is a civil action, you have the additional right to represent yourself or hire your own attorney, and there is no right to appointed counsel in this case. If no claim is properly filed within the time allowed, the property will be ordered forfeited to the State, to be disposed of according to law. Pursuant to section 11488.4 and 11488.5 of the H&S Code, procedures to forfeit the above listed properties are under way. If you claim an interest in this property, you must, within thirty (30) days of the first publication of the Notice of Seizure and Administrative Forfeiture, file a verified claim in the Superior Court Clerk's office located at 1354 Johnson Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA. You must also provide an endorsed copy of the claim, stating your interest in the property, to the office of the El Dorado County District Attorney, 778 Pacific Street, Placerville, CA. The claim must refer to the specific item of property listed in this notice.
