CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE 2020-1135 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 14, 2020, the City of South Lake Tahoe City Council passed Ordinance 2020-1135 by the following vote: Yes: Collin, Laine, Middlebrook and Wallace Recuse: Bass First Reading: November 5, 2019 Published: January 3, 2020 Effective: February 13, 2020 "An Ordinance Approving a Development Agreement with Firebreak Associates, Inc. dba Cannablue for the Use of Property at 2179 Lake Tahoe Boulevard as a Retail Cannabis Dispensary & Delivery Service Business." City Attorney's Summary of Ordinance: "This ordinance approves a 2-year Development Agreement with Firebreak Associates, Inc. dba Cannablue, for the operation of a cannabis dispensary and delivery service in South Lake Tahoe with the potential for four 2-year extensions. Firebreak Associates, Inc. dba Cannablue is proposing to operate a 3,592 square foot storefront located at 2179 Lake Tahoe Blvd. The Development Agreement is consistent with South Lake Tahoe City Code 6.55.790, et seq., which authorizes the execution of development agreements and sets forth the required content. Firebreak Associates, Inc dba Cannablue will provide the City with a community benefit fee equal to 6% of gross receipts for retail sales."
